The Central Government has issued Notification No. 20/2026-Customs (ADD) dated 5 August 2026, extending the anti-dumping duty on Phthalic Anhydride imported from China and South Korea after the DGTR concluded that discontinuing the duty could result in continued or recurring dumping and injury to the domestic industry. The notification replaces the earlier Notification No. 43/2021-Customs (ADD) and prescribes revised anti-dumping duty rates on specified imports. The duty will remain in force for five years from the date of publication in the Official Gazette, unless amended or withdrawn earlier, and will be payable in Indian currency based on the applicable exchange rate notified under the Customs Act.
