The Ministry of Finance has issued a public advisory cautioning citizens against the growing threat of AI-generated fake videos that are designed to mislead and defraud people. The Ministry warned that scammers are increasingly using artificial intelligence to create realistic-looking content to deceive individuals, particularly senior citizens. People have been advised not to trust or share unverified videos, avoid clicking on suspicious images or links circulating on social media or messaging platforms, and refrain from joining WhatsApp groups without proper verification. The advisory urges the public to verify every claim through official Government sources and stay vigilant against online fraud. The Ministry also encouraged citizens to follow its official social media channels for authentic and verified information. CA Sansaar
