The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has invited original Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from Chartered Accountants and experts for developing the Question Bank for the AICITSS – Advanced IT Test. Selected questions will attract an honorarium of ₹500 per MCQ.
The Examination Department of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), through its notice dated 1 October 2026, has invited contributions of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for the Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS) – Advanced IT Test.
The Advanced IT Test is conducted for CA students who have qualified the CA Intermediate Examination and completed the required 15-day Advanced Information Technology Training. Students are required to complete the training and qualify the test before appearing for the CA Final Examination.
The Advanced IT Test consists of 100 MCQs carrying one mark each, to be attempted within two hours. Candidates are required to secure at least 40 marks to qualify. There is no negative marking in the examination.
Invitation for Question Contributions
ICAI has invited Chartered Accountants and experts working with organisations, institutions and universities to contribute original MCQs for developing the Advanced IT Question Bank.
Contributors are required to submit their questions in MS-Word format along with the duly completed Interest Declaration Form. Contributions are to be sent to the email address specified by ICAI in its notice.
Guidelines for MCQs
ICAI has specified the following requirements for submitted questions:

Each MCQ must contain four options — A, B, C and D, with only one correct answer.

Questions and answers must be clear and free from ambiguity.

The correct answer and source reference, including the relevant Module, Unit and Page Number, must be provided.

Questions should not contain interdependent options such as “All of the above,” “None of the above,” or “Both A and B.”

Options should be sufficiently close and concept-based to test the candidate's understanding of the subject.

The submitted MCQs must be original and should not have been previously published in books, journals, ICAI study material, reference books, examination papers or coaching-institution material.

Contributors must not share the submitted questions with any other person or institution, as the questions are intended for the exclusive use of the ICAI Council.

The copyright of the MCQs submitted and selected will vest with the Council of ICAI.
Honorarium for Selected MCQs
ICAI has stated that an honorarium of ₹500 per MCQ will be paid for every question selected by the Institute's review panel. The decision of ICAI regarding selection of the questions will be final and binding.
ICAI has also stated that all correspondence relating to the contribution of questions will be treated as highly confidential by both the Institute and the contributor.
