The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), through its Professional Development Committee (PDC), has activated the Multipurpose Empanelment Form (MEF) for the year 2026-27. Chartered Accountants and CA firms can now submit their empanelment details through the online MEF portal for consideration for various professional assignments.
The information submitted through the MEF is shared by ICAI with organisations such as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) and other authorities for empanelment for professional work, including audit and related assignments.
Before submitting the application, ICAI has advised members to carefully read the MEF Advisory available on the portal to ensure accurate and complete disclosure of information.
Login and Registration
- Existing Applicants: Members who had submitted the MEF 2025-26 application can log in using their existing credentials. Those who have forgotten their password can use the "Forgot Password" facility available on the portal.
- First-Time Applicants: Members applying for MEF for the first time must complete the online registration process before submitting the empanelment form.
The Multipurpose Empanelment Form plays an important role in facilitating the empanelment of Chartered Accountants and CA firms for professional opportunities with banks, financial institutions, government organisations and other authorities that seek information from ICAI for empanelment purposes.
Members are advised to complete their applications well before the prescribed deadline and ensure that all information furnished in the MEF is accurate, complete and supported by the relevant records, as the details submitted may be considered by various authorities while preparing panels for professional assignments.
