CBIC Notification 69/2026: Revised Customs Tariff Values

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), under the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 69/2026-Customs (N.T.) dated August 10, 2026, amending the tariff values prescribed under Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.). The notification substitutes Table-1, Table-2 and Table-3 containing tariff values for specified imported goods.

The notification specifically states that the tariff values for palm oil, palmolein, crude soyabean oil, brass scrap and areca nuts remain unchanged from the previous values.

For gold and silver, the notification prescribes tariff values of US$1,395 per 10 grams for specified gold and US$2,076 per kilogram for specified silver.

Effective Date

The revised tariff values are effective from August 11, 2026. The notification amends the principal Customs tariff-value notification issued in 2001 and was issued under Section 14(2) of the Customs Act, 1962.
