ED Arrests Delhi Agent in US Dunki Route Case, Traces ₹30.38 Crore Cash Deposits

The Enforcement Directorate has arrested Delhi-based agent Tarun Khosla in a money laundering investigation linked to illegal immigration to the USA through the Dunki Route. ED investigations revealed ₹30.38 crore in cash deposits and earlier seizures of cash, gold and silver worth ₹19.14 crore.

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Jalandhar Zonal Office, arrested Delhi-based ticketing agent Tarun Khosla on October 23, 2026, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, in connection with the alleged illegal immigration network operating through the Dunki Route. A Special PMLA Court granted ED custody until October 30, 2026.

The investigation originated from FIRs registered by Punjab and Haryana Police following the deportation of over 300 Indian nationals from the USA in February 2025. According to the ED, immigration agents allegedly charged individuals ₹30 lakh to ₹60 lakh, promising legal entry into the USA but routing them illegally through South and Central American countries.

During searches conducted in December 2025, the ED seized ₹4.62 crore in cash, approximately 5.9 kg of gold and 313 kg of silver, with a combined reported value of ₹19.14 crore, from Khosla's premises. Investigators also identified ₹30.38 crore in cash deposits across 414 transactions in the bank account of his proprietorship firm, BJ International, during FY 2022-23 to FY 2024-25.

The ED alleges that Khosla coordinated visas, air tickets, immigration clearances and payments to international intermediaries facilitating illegal border crossings. Earlier, properties worth approximately ₹5.41 crore were provisionally attached in the case.

Further investigation is underway.
