The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved measures aimed at simplifying access to financial information for customers. Under the new framework, SEBI-registered depositories will be permitted to include bank deposit details in Consolidated Account Statements (CAS).
The measure is intended to provide investors with a more comprehensive view of their financial holdings through a consolidated statement. The RBI has indicated that the facility is expected to become operational by December 31, 2026.
The RBI has also approved interoperability among NBFC-Account Aggregators, with implementation targeted within the same timeline.
