Lakshmanan Meyyappan, an Indian finance professional and research analyst associated with UAE-based investment firm Century Financial, has been recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s youngest Chartered Accountant.
According to information released by Century Financial, Meyyappan received the Guinness World Records recognition in February 2026, when he was 16 years and 141 days old.
The recognition followed his completion of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. He began pursuing the professional qualification after completing his Class 10 board examinations, enabling him to enter the finance profession at an exceptionally young age.
Meyyappan’s achievement highlights an accelerated academic and professional pathway in the accounting and finance sector. His early qualification and subsequent work as a research analyst have drawn attention to the possibility of pursuing internationally recognised finance qualifications at a significantly younger age.
