The National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) has constituted a nine-member Advisory Committee on Audit Quality, Assurance and Technology to provide expert inputs on emerging issues affecting the audit and financial reporting ecosystem.
The committee brings together professionals with expertise across financial regulation, corporate finance, auditing, insurance, technology and independent directorship. Its mandate includes examining developments in audit quality and assurance practices, assessing the impact of emerging technologies, and identifying evolving risks that may require regulatory attention.
The initiative reflects NFRA’s broader approach to evaluating audit quality beyond traditional professional standards, with greater emphasis on corporate governance, technological developments and emerging risk factors.
The advisory panel is expected to assist NFRA in strengthening its understanding of changing audit practices and technology-driven challenges, while providing inputs that could support improvements in audit oversight and related standards. CASansaar
